Orland Township Scholarship Foundation Application The Orland Township Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for the 2010 scholarship program. Prime applicants are well-rounded and motivated individuals, who display leadership skills, commitment to community service and a determined academic focus. The purpose of the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation is to promote awareness of the importance of community service in one’s own community. Best Buy Sponsored Technology Classes at Orland Township Orland Township is pleased to announce its partnership with Best Buy this spring. Orland Township and Best Buy are collaborating to create FREE programs and services for the community, affecting the way Township residents learn, work and live. The goal of Orland Township and Best Buy, through this program, is to strengthen the community by fueling innovation in education and technology, while serving its needs. During the Township’s relocation planning process, it became a priority for the leaders of the institution to develop a technology based program for residents and as a result, a computer center was designed and created for Orland Township residents. The time to implement this technology program and take advantage of the computer center has arrived. Orland Township and Best Buy are giving residents the opportunity to complete a survey and voice their opinions. Surveys are available on this website, as well as www.bestbuy.com, the Orland Park Best Buy store and the Orland Township office. The surveys will determine which technology issues are important to the Township residents and what they would like to learn. This direct feedback will be analyzed and used in the formulation of specific programs that will be offered at Orland Township. The surveys focus on four main targets: school-age youth, seniors, displaced workers and job seekers and “techno stressed” individuals, in need of a broader, more general technology seminar.
