Orland township's FREE Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) provides assistance to persons who may need help with Medicare claims and statements. Counselors, trained and certified with the Illinois Department of Insurance, are available by appointment three days per week to answer questions about Medicare and Medicare Supplemental insurance. Counselors provide accurate and objective one-on-one counseling sessions. They are not affiliated with any insurance company and do not sell or solicit any type of insurance. Information about long-term care is also available.

NO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
Call (708)403-4222 to schedule an appointment with a SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) counselor. SHIP counselors have been trained and certified with the Illinois Department of Insurance to provide accurate and objective one-on-one counseling sessions for senior citizens, their families and caregivers at no charge. They can answer your questions about the changes in Medicare (Medicare + Choice will soon be a reality in Illinois!). Counselors can also assist with Medicare claims, statements, and appeals, as well as help you analyze supplemental and long term care insurance policies. They are not affiliated with any insurance company and do not sell or solicit any type of insurance. These volunteer counselors can also contact Medicare directly for you.
